The Rookery is a lovely self-catering holiday apartment located beside the pretty village green in the Heartbeat village of Goathland… or Aidensfield as it is often better known. It possesses a wonderful location in the centre of this famous television village which is set amidst the beautiful scenery of the North York Moors National Park. In addition it is also just a few miles from Whitby and the other attractions along the Yorkshire Heritage Coast. What better location could there be for a holiday or holiday break than at the very heart of Heartbeat.

This is a truly charming hideaway, dating back to the 1800s, which has been converted from a former chapel. Today it offers its guests excellent first floor accommodation above the owner’s Moors Coffee Shop, Village Store and Outdoor Centre. This historic building is full of character, even possessing some original beams. the furnishings are of a high standard and there has been much attention to detail.

Goathland is an excellent centre for walking, touring and exploration of both coast and countryside and walking along the row of village sets is to walk through the set for Heartbeat! It is therefore an ideal choice for fans of the famous drama series.

The village has many facilities including inns, tearooms and shops… and it even has a station on the historic North York Moors Railway made famous on screen in both Heartbeat and Harry Potter.

Electric coal effect stove.
Well equipped kitchen area.
1 double bedroom with an en-suite shower room with cubicle, WC and basin.

Holiday Apartment Facilities:
Kitchen - electric hob and oven, microwave, larder fridge, kettle, toaster. Iron/ironing board.
Lounge - Flat screen TV with Freesat, DVD, Radio/CD player.
Bedroom - Bed linen and towels provided. Hairdryer.
Heating - Electric heaters and all electricity are included.
Parking - Private parking for 1 car.
Smoking - No smoking in the property please.
Pets - Sorry no pets are allowed.

A cream tea for two people is provided free of charge for one day.
